Censinet Expands Executive Team with Healthcare Veteran Mike Cicciu as Senior Vice President of Sales

Deep Expertise in Healthcare Provider and Payer Markets Uniquely Positions Cicciu to Drive Growth of Censinet RiskOps

Boston, MA – April 21, 2021 Censinet, the leading provider of healthcare IT risk solutions, today announced Mike Cicciu as Senior Vice President of Sales. Cicciu will be responsible for building the Company’s sales organization, driving its performance, and ensuring the growth of Censinet RiskOps in healthcare provider and payer markets.

“As the Censinet RiskOps continues its rapid expansion within the healthcare industry, we needed a proven and trusted executive to work closely with CIOs and CISOs in the provider and payer market segments,” said Ed Gaudet, CEO and Founder of Censinet, Inc. “Mike understands how to build sales processes and organizations that focus on delivering value to customers as they transform their risk strategies, operations, and organizations over the next three years.”

Delivering effective healthcare is complex and depends on an intricate array of third-party products, medical devices, and services across clinical, business, and operational areas. These systems are networked and contain critical business and patient data, presenting an untenable attack surface for those looking to steal patient data, disrupt care delivery, or harm patients. As a result, healthcare providers increasingly need both a robust understanding of their cybersecurity risk challenges and an industry-specific solution for risk mitigation.

“Having spent my career in healthcare helping customers make strategic IT decisions that have a meaningful impact on their business, I’ve been closely monitoring the increasing challenges they have around managing risk,” said Mike Cicciu, SVP of Sales for Censinet. “Censinet is uniquely and effectively addressing the most challenging issues in the healthcare C-suite right now, and I look forward to building a sales organization that ensures our customers deliver uninterrupted patient care.”

Cicciu has more than 25 years of sales and executive management experience in healthcare. He brings deep expertise in both technology platforms and healthcare operations. Most recently, Cicciu served as vice president of sales and account management at Welltok.  He joined Welltok through the acquisition of Silverlink, where he was the eighth employee, and spent 15 years building the Company’s client base to nearly 100 major healthcare customers.
